Omniboost to Fortnox | Error: 2001101: There is no active license for the requested scope.

This article explains the meaning of the error message you may encounter within your Omniboost to Fortnox integration, outlines what causes it, and walks you through the steps to resolve it.

Within your Omniboost to Fortnox integration, whether that is Trivec to Fortnox or Mews to Fortnox, you may have encountered the following error message:

Error: 2001101: Det finns ingen aktiv licens för önskat scope.

Translated to English, this means: "There is no active license for the requested scope." This error indicates that your Fortnox environment does not currently have the correct licenses enabled to support this integration. Without the appropriate licenses in place, Omniboost is unable to retrieve the necessary permissions from Fortnox to post data correctly.

Depending on how your integration is configured and what data you need to send to Fortnox, one or more of the following modules must be active on your Fortnox account:

  • Accounting / Bokföring - This is the core module required for all integrations. It enables Omniboost to post voucher entries directly to Fortnox and is a mandatory requirement regardless of your setup.

  • Fakturering - Required for integrations that involve sending invoices from your POS system into Fortnox, such as Trivec to Fortnox.

  • Quote & Order - Required for integrations that involve sending orders from your POS system into Fortnox.

If you are unsure which modules apply to your specific setup, please reach out to your designated Omniboost agent and they will be able to advise.

How to check and order the required licenses

To resolve this error, you will need to check your active licenses within Fortnox and order any that are missing. There are two ways to navigate to the correct section, as outlined below.

Option 1: Navigating to Tilläggsbeställning

Option 2: Navigating to Tilläggsbeställning via Manage Users

Once you have followed either of the options above, you will be taken to the following screen:

From here, you can review the available licenses and order the ones required for your integration. Once the correct licenses are active, Omniboost will be able to retrieve the necessary permissions from Fortnox to post voucher entries and/or orders without any further issues.

Reconnecting Fortnox in Base

After ordering the required licenses, the final step is to reconnect your Fortnox account within Base. To do this, navigate to your Base onboarding and follow the steps to reconnect Fortnox. Once completed, the error message should be fully resolved.

Depending on which phase your integration is in, your integration will either resume as expected or we will be able to continue with the onboarding process. Please make sure to notify your Omniboost agent once you have completed these steps, particularly if your integration is still in the testing phase.

We hope this article has given you a clear understanding of how to resolve this error and what steps to take regarding your Fortnox licenses.
