Integration description
This is a very simple one-way integration which synchronizes your Simphony POS and Marketman environments.
When first set up, the connection syncs all of your Simphony POS categories, items and modifiers into Marketman for menu creation.
The connection also sends sales information from the Simphony POS into Marketman once a day so that the Marketman stock count can be adjusted correctly.
New connection request
To request a new Simphony POS - Marketman connection, please reach out to your Marketman representative. They will inform Omniboost and make the necessary Marketman credentials available. Once you've done that, please follow the steps below to create and share the necessary Simphony POS information.
Simphony API accounts
The Simphony POS makes information available to 3rd parties like Omniboost using two different APIs: Transaction Services API and Business Intelligence API. Omniboost needs access to both, one to fetch daily sales and the other one to fetch the full list of menu items to be synced to Marketman.
Create API Account for Simphony Transaction Services API
The step-by-step instructions on how to set up the Transaction Services API account are linked here in this Simphony help guide. Please make sure to create the account using the info@omniboost.io email.
Below is a table with a list of all of the required information related to the Simphony Transaction Services API. In the source column below, you will see that some information is automatically sent to Omniboost after you create the API account. All the rest needs to be shared via email with your Omniboost onboarding specialist.
Variable (in JSON) | Example Format | Source |
simphony_client_id | T1Bplcfi402356IyYWMtNGE3y9xcThhYTM1MGJmNWNmMw== | Manually sent by client via email |

Pipeline configuration and testing
Once you've shared all the necessary information with your Omniboost onboarding specialist, they will use that information to configure your new Simphony POS - Marketman connection. When the pipeline has been configured, the categories and items from your Simphony POS environment will be synced to Marketman.
Before the integration is set to automatically transfer data, a test data set containing daily Simphony sales will be pushed into Marketman. You will then be asked to review and confirm the data is correctly transferred. Once you've signed off on the data accuracy, the integration will be set live by your onboarding specialist.
