Our Lightspeed POS to Guestline integration will connect your restaurant to your Guestline PMS. Once setup you can start charging you hotel guest and book them on room. In this article we will show you what you need to do in order to connect both systems.
Before you start
The Lightspeed interface should be added to your Guestline PMS.
How it works
The integration will function as a real time connection between Guestline and Lightspeed POS. Once a guest has been checked in, you can start and add charges to their room via Lightspeed. As the guest goes to your restaurant after check in, they will appear via the search function in your Lightspeed app. Simple search for them by name or room number and they will show up and in one click you can send over the charge to their room. Next to the on room posting, the integration supports the full revenue push. At the end of the day, the revenue will be send over to the PMS.
How to connect
To connect your Lightspeed POS to your Guestline PMS, follow these steps:
Go to your Lightspeed account and go to Payments.
Click on the Add Payment button.
Add On Room as the name of the new payment type and select Type Room
You will receive access to our POS integration system, where you can set up your Integration.
The Integration
Step 1, Connect to Lightspeed
The first thing you need to do, is to connect to your Lightspeed Account. This can be done by clicking on the Connect To button in our POS connector.
Step 2, Lightspeed settings
After connecting to Lightspeed, you see the following screen:
This is for the Lightspeed settings. First select your Company, then your On Room payment Type and then, fill in your tip name.
Step 2: Guestline Settings
The next page is the PMS Settings page. This page contains the following fields:
First, you have to select the Default Analisys Code. When a specific Ikentoo category is not mapped yet, it will be send over to this code. Same for the Default Payment Code when a payment method is not mapped in the Omniboost POS Connector, the payment will be send over to the default code. Next, you have to select the Tip code, this code will be used when sending over Tips to the PMS. After that, you have to select the Timezone and End Of Day. This will be used when the Full Revenue push is send over to the PMS. This will be done at your specific End Of Day.
The next step is completing the Header Mapping those field looks like this:
On the left side you have to select the Header. On the right side you have to select the categories. If you want to select more categories, hold control or command and select multiple categories.
If you don’t want to use the header mapping, please select the checkbox “don’t use header mapping”. When a receipt is send over to Guestline, the default analysis code will be used while sending over on room receipts.
The following field in this page are the Time Mappings:
This shift ID will be send over to the PMS. Select the Start and the End time and the specific Shift ID.
After completing to fill in all the fields on the PMS Settings page, you have to click Submit. You can always go back to the settings page by clicking on the screwdriver right on top.
Mapping
The final step is completing the mapping. This page looks like this:
On the left side you see the categories from the POS and on the right side the accounting categories from the PMS. You can link those categories by selecting the right PMS Category. On the top of the page, you will see the different POS floors. If you click on a specific floor, you can complete the mapping for the specific floor. When all the categories are filled in, you can click on Save mapping & connect to Omniboost and you’re connected to the interface.
