What does the Ancon POS - Mews PMS integration do?

This integration enables you to:

  • Look up active (checked-in) guests directly in your Ancon POS

  • Post Ancon POS charges directly to your Mews PMS guest profile

  • Automatically transfer all Ancon POS closed receipt data into your Mews PMS at end of day

REQUESTING A NEW CONNECTION

How do I request a new Ancon โ€“ Mews connection?

Please inform your Ancon representative that you would like to connect your Ancon and Mews environments. The Ancon team will then generate necessary API credentials, Ancon token and company ID, and share that information with the Omniboost team.

You will also have to generate the Mews access token. You can do so via the Mews marketplace. For more information on how to request a new connection, please see this Mews Help Article.

The Omniboost team will prepare your new integration profile in the Omniboost onboarding platform. You will receive an email with your new onboarding profile credentials. Before starting the onboarding process, please make sure to review and complete all points outlined in the next step below.

BEFORE ONBOARDING

What do I have to do before I can start the onboarding process?

Ancon: Please make sure that your Ancon environment is set up to support a Hotel/Room charge payment type.

Mews: No action needed in Mews

ONBOARDING

What can I expect from the onboarding process?

Once we've received your Mews marketplace access token and the credentials from Ancon, the Omniboost team will prepare your new integration profile in our onboarding platform. You will receive an email with your new onboarding profile credentials.

Please use those credentials to log in and complete all of the questions in the integration onboarding form. You can refer to the tooltips and articles linked in the onboarding platform for clarity regarding specific fields or questions. If you have any additional questions or troubles during the onboarding process, please email the Omniboost support team via pos-support@omniboost.io.

I've completed the onboarding form, now what?

Once you have filled out all the required fields in your integration form, your new integration is ready to test.

TESTING AND GO-LIVE

When will my new integration be ready to use?

As soon as you've populated all of the required fields, you are able to test your new connection. You can look up Mews clients directly in your Ancon environment. Also, try posting charges to a guest folio in Mews. Finally, please check the outlet section of your Mews accounting report for data about all of the bills closed in Ancon during the previous day.

If all of those actions are possible and the information is coming across correctly, your new integration is ready to use.
